Tanjiro Kamado: The Heroic Demon Slayer
Tanjiro Kamado is the protagonist of the manga and anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. He is a young boy who becomes a demon slayer after his family is killed by a demon and his sister, Nezuko, is turned into one. He joins the Demon Slayer Corps, a secret organization of warriors who fight against the man-eating demons, and vows to find a way to restore Nezuko's humanity and avenge his family.
Tanjiro is a kind-hearted, compassionate, and courageous person who values his family and friends above all else. He is also intelligent, diligent, and determined, as he trains hard to master various sword techniques and breathing styles. He has a keen sense of smell, which allows him to track down demons and detect their emotions. He also has a strong sense of justice and morality, as he respects the lives of both humans and demons, and tries to end their suffering with mercy.
Tanjiro's main weapon is a Nichirin Sword, a special blade that can change color depending on the user and can harm demons. Tanjiro's sword is black, which is considered rare and unlucky among demon slayers. He also wears a pair of earrings that belonged to his father, which have a sun-like design on them. These earrings are later revealed to be related to the legendary Sun Breathing style, the first and original breathing style that all other styles are derived from.
Tanjiro's secondary breathing style is Sun Breathing, which allows him to generate heat and light with his sword. He inherits this style from his father, Tanjuro Kamado, who was a descendant of Sumiyoshi Kamado, the first user of Sun Breathing. Tanjiro can perform various forms of Sun Breathing, such as Clear Blue Sky, Raging Sun, Flame Dance, etc. He can also use Sun Breathing to activate the Hinokami Kagura (Dance of the Fire God), a ritual dance that his father taught him.
Throughout his journey as a demon slayer, Tanjiro faces many enemies and allies. His main enemie's is Muzan Kibutsuji, the first and most powerful demon who is responsible for creating all other demons and killing Tanjiro's family. Tanjiro also encounters many other demons who serve Muzan or have their own agendas. Some of these demons are Akaza, Rui, Enmu, Daki, Gyutaro, etc.
Tanjiro's main allies are his fellow demon slayers who join him in his quest to defeat Muzan and save Nezuko. His closest friends are Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira, who accompany him in most of his missions. Zenitsu is a cowardly but talented swordsman who uses Thunder Breathing and has enhanced hearing. Inosuke is a wild and aggressive fighter who uses Beast Breathing and has enhanced touch. Tanjiro also forms bonds with other demon slayers, such as Kanao Tsuyuri (his love interest), Genya Shinazugawa (his rival), Murata (his comrade), etc.
Tanjiro also receives guidance and support from the Hashiras, the strongest members of the Demon Slayer Corps who each specialize in a different breathing style. Some of these Hashiras are Giyu Tomioka (Water), Shinobu Kocho (Insect), Kyojuro Rengoku (Flame), Tengen Uzui (Sound), Mitsuri Kanroji (Love), Muichiro Tokito (Mist), Obanai Iguro (Serpent), etc.
Tanjiro's story reaches its climax when he confronts Muzan in his final battle at the Infinity Castle. During this battle, Tanjiro temporarily becomes a demon himself after being injected with Muzan's blood. However, he manages to overcome Muzan's influence with the help of Nezuko and his friends. He then uses his Sun Breathing to deliver the final blow to Muzan and end his reign of terror.
After the battle, Tanjiro returns to his human form and reunites with Nezuko, who has also regained her humanity thanks to Tamayo's medicine.
